WHO WE ARE

Blue Ridge Foodshed, PBLLC is a public benefit company devoted to a thriving regional food economy centered around smaller-scale family farms in Western North Carolina.

As its Core Stewards, we tend Blue Ridge Foodshed Commons ~ a regional food ecosystem we're developing alongside WNC farmers and food-system partners.

We are rooted in the region we serve ~ nurtured by the ancient Blue Ridge Mountains we get to call home. We honor this land, its people, and its rich history.

Our role is to design the legal, organizational, and economic structures of the Commons, curate and facilitate the Foodshed Cultivator, and raise the capital that brings each Commons-held business to life.

We don't own the Commons, or the businesses and land held within it ~ no one does. They're held in trust for the whole foodshed. Our job is to create the conditions for our region to thrive for generations.

Individually, we have founded, run, and guided small businesses and corporations. Together we bring a unique synergy of expertise in food & farming, regenerative entrepreneurship & finance, and living-systems design.
